The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed regarding the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] sassa status is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The provider issue developed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
